BTL is developing molecular techniques (monoclonal antibodies, microsatellites) for identifying
pests and the specific vectors of strains or isolates of PVY or BYD, and their geographic origin.
These developments are being carried out in collaboration with:
- members of the "University of Southhampton"
- Federal Centre for Breeding Research on Cultivated Plants (BAZ), Quedlinburg
- Federal Biological Research Centre for Agriculture and Forestry (BBA)
- "Institut National de la Recherche Agronomique" (INRA), Le Rheu
These systems will be useful for:
- Private companies
- Governmental funded bodies in Germany and other EEC countries
