BTL supplies advice and runs training courses in taxonomy and population dynamics of animal pests.
Following projects where realized:
- Training of employees of the Federal Biological Research Centre for Agriculture and Forestry (BBA) in taxonomy and ecology of thrips and aphids
- Training and coaching of employees of plant protection services of different countries in the taxonomy and ecology of thrips and aphids, and their natural enemies
- Training of employees of the Federal Centre for Breeding Research on Cultivated Plants (BAZ), Quedlinburg in the field of taxonomy and ecology of thrips and aphids
- Further education of technicians, of several chemical companies, in the field of taxonomy and ecology of thrips and aphids, and the planning, running and analysis of insecticide trials
- Production of a book for an agrochemical company for the identification of aphids and several CDs, with interactive software for the identification of pests
